Diagnosis: Open bite — the upper and lower front teeth do not meet when biting together.
Treatment: Myobrace® myofunctional orthodontic treatment to correct an open bite, guiding jaw development and correcting oral habits with a series of removable appliances.
Material: Myobrace® removable myofunctional appliances (training kit + two appliance types)
Period: Approx. 2 years
Visits: Monthly — approx. 24 visits
Cost: Self-pay total ¥517,000 (incl. tax). Breakdown: ¥385,000 initial fee (Myobrace® training kit + two appliances) + monthly observation & adjustment ¥5,500 × 24 visits (¥132,000). The initial consultation is free.

Risks & side effects

Results depend on patient compliance with wearing the appliance for the recommended hours each day.
Treatment duration may be extended if compliance is insufficient.
Minor discomfort when wearing the appliance may occur initially.
Myobrace addresses oral habits and jaw development; individual results vary based on growth patterns.
Appliance replacement may be needed during treatment (¥38,500 per replacement).
This is an elective, privately billed (self-pay) treatment, not covered by Japanese national health insurance.
