Main risks & side effects
- All-on-4 is a complex surgical procedure involving extraction of remaining teeth and placement of four implants per arch.
- Post-operative swelling, bruising, and temporary dietary restrictions are expected.
- Osseointegration (bone-implant fusion) requires approximately 3–5 months before the final prosthesis is placed.
- A temporary prosthesis is worn during the healing period.
- Bone grafting may be required in some cases.
- Prosthetic components have a finite lifespan and may require maintenance or replacement.
- This is an elective, privately billed (self-pay) treatment, not covered by Japanese national health insurance.

All-on-4 at RODIN — sedation, planning, and why it's priced as it is
Comfortable with IV sedation
Full-arch surgery can be carried out under IV sedation administered by a licensed anaesthesiologist, with monitoring throughout, so you rest comfortably during the procedure.
Digital planning and a same-day provisional
Each arch is planned on CBCT with the prosthodontist and surgical team. Four implants per arch support a fixed bridge; a provisional is placed, and the final milled zirconia prosthesis follows after healing.
Why full-arch is priced as it is
The fee reflects the surgical team, the digital planning, premium implant components, and a milled zirconia prosthesis. Unusually low full-arch prices can reflect fewer or lower-grade implants, less planning, or lower-grade materials — worth asking about wherever you compare, including with us.

Frequently asked questions
Is All-on-4 done while I'm asleep?
It can be performed under IV sedation by a licensed anaesthesiologist with monitoring, so most patients rest comfortably and remember little of the surgery.
How long does All-on-4 take?
A provisional fixed bridge is placed early in the process; the final zirconia prosthesis follows after roughly 3–5 months of healing. International patients typically plan two trips.
Why is it more expensive than a price I saw elsewhere?
Full-arch cost reflects the team, planning, implant brand, and prosthesis material. A much lower quote may involve different implants, materials, or scope — it is always worth confirming exactly what is included, with any clinic.
